How to offset with BP Target Neutral
Go to the emissions calculator. Here we’ll help you work out quickly the total emissions associated with all of your travel. You can then offset that amount of CO2 with a payment which supports BP Target Neutral low carbon development projects.
You don’t have to limit yourself to offsetting emissions from your driving. The calculator will also help you work out emissions from other transport activity, and you can choose to offset these too. Indeed you can choose to offset as much as you like from your total carbon footprint.
Because it’s not-for-profit and BP covers all our operating costs, offsetting through BP Target Neutral is cheaper than comparable ‘for-profit’ schemes, with all money (apart from a small bank charge for card payments and VAT) supporting low carbon development projects, via carbon credits.
What are your charges?
BP Target Neutral is not-for-profit. BP funds all of BP Target Neutral’s running costs. This means all of your money, excluding card transaction charges and VAT, funds the purchase of carbon credits (VERs) from the selected projects.
The cost of offset is: £2.26 per tonne.
