BP does not make a profit from the BP Target Neutral Programme1. BP Target Neutral, offset the carbon impact of more than 32,000 delegates travelling to Abu Dhabi, by calculating the carbon footprint resulting from their travel, and purchasing carbon credits from carbon mitigation projects around the world to offset the impact of the greenhouse gas emissions produced.
“Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week brings together the international community – from researches to investors – to drive cross-sector, public-private action that promotes sustainable growth, while addressing resource security and climate risk,” said Dr. Ahmad Belhoul, CEO of Masdar. “The partnership with BP helps us to unite global stakeholders, drive forward solutions and reduce our carbon footprint.”
