We’re creating a series of simple but compelling animations to show you how carbon offsetting projects work. Some of these projects generate renewable electricity while others capture greenhouse gases, reducing atmospheric carbon. Many of them deliver other significant benefits to local economies through employment and encouraging business enterprise.

In the first of our series of animations take a look at how a micro hydro-electric generation project works, generating green power for the local grid.

Target Neutral supports the Nangyangshang micro hydro-electric project in Gansu Province, China. The project has created 15 permanent jobs and is benefiting local farmers through a localised irrigation system for agricultural crops.
